Throughout the movie you felt how much these parents Cindy and Jim loved Timothy..How much they wanted to be good parents and shelter their son from what can be a cruel world.. Any mom can relate to how hard they tried and the mistakes they made!! In the beginning they wrote down what qualities their child would have.. Funny, smart, honest, sweet and of course artistic.. It made me look at my sons and appreciate all they are!
At the end of the week Mommy's Mingle was invited at see Timothy again but this time by The Moms.. I was super excited to hang with the girls and get to meet Jennifer Garner..
She was so down to earth and discussed how in real life there is no such thing as balance between work and motherhood.. She said she has to give thanks to a great support team and that it takes a community of people to raise kids and you need to at times accept the help as parents.. Enjoy the moments!! Don't always wait for the big moments cherish even the small ones!!
By the end of the movie their was a whole room full of crying women.. Except for my buddy Boyzruleourworld who never cries! LOL
We received awesome gift bags with items from Lipton who sponsored the event along with a beautiful keepsake box with my favorite quote from the movie..
We wanted to tell our story
There's just one thing...
You're going to find it hard to believe.
The movie has inspired me to cherish my children more! Appreciate the good and bad and even the ODD!
The boys and I are going to bury our own keepsake box with all the qualities we love about each other! With a little love, nurture and sunshine anything is possible!

Exciting! And I love that you were inspired to appreciate your family even more.
ReplyDeleteAny advice on getting invited to The Moms events in the city?
ReplyDeleteHey Monica thanks for reading..As far as the moms I would say follow them on twitter and start chatting!
ReplyDeleteGotta say, I absolutely understand how an inspirational movie can move you to appreciate what you have, but the ODD, it's just about killing me...
ReplyDeleteBaking we all have to appreciate the ODD..LOL

Shannon I know it's pretty hard with 2 little ones..My boys are 15 months apart and I have always done it with just me and my husband.. But we could have def used the help..our families live far away!Thnks for following.. Good luck with baby #2..
DeleteHow exciting! I've been wondering about this movie. It looks good but I don't like going to movies that make me cry (even happy crying) because it embarrasses my husband. Usually I wait for the tearjerkers to come out on video and I can have a crying fest in my family room. Following now too! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was a really beautiful movie..I cried like a baby from beginning till end..Which I don't really like movies that make me do that either..But it was cute!!
DeleteJust stopped by from the Finding New Friends Weekend Blog Hop and started following your blog! I hope to have you stop by and visit soon!
